How to Connect Wix with Mailchimp (Without No Coding)

Hope this helps. I did this for a recent client project who wanted to promote an event. It was a challenge finding the information so I decided to put a quick video and article together.

Previously, Wix featured an app that integrated with Mailchimp which could then be used on your site. Today, Wix allows for direct integration with Mailchimp and is incredibly easy to set up. (Note that doing this from the Mailchimp side does not work well.) So just do it from Wix and it is a lot easier.

Below, I will provide step-by-step instructions as well as screenshots on how to do this easy Wix to Mailchimp connection.

1. Login to Wix and view your dashboard.

2. Select “Marking Tools” from the left side.

1. Next, select ‘Marketing Integrations”

1. Further down the page, you’ll find a button labeled “Connect”. This will start the integration.
   

2. It’s important to carefully read through the notes prior to selecting ‘Edit’. Doing so will make you aware of important information, such as any of your existing Wix contacts will not migrate to Mailchimp lists. This means you’ll need to first export all your contacts and transfer them to a Mailchimp list. To do this, select the ‘export’ link from the notes and read over the step-by-step instructions on how to export contacts. You only need to do this step if you have existing Wix contacts. If not, move on to the next step.

1. A new window will open which is where you can begin creating connections. To make new connections, follow these steps:

• Determine which Wix subscribers will be moved to a specific Mailchimp list. There are four options:

  1. New Contacts: Anyone who buys something, signs up for email subscription by completing a form, someone who fills out a contact form, etc.

  2. New Contact Forms: This includes anyone who completes and submits contact forms.

  3. New Subscribers: These are individuals who sign up to receive email updates.

  4. New Customers: A customer who buys something from your site is classified as a new customer.

Please be aware that the images from the video as well as the screenshots are using the New Subscriber option. The last part of the video provide instructions on adding a subscriber form as well as how to make it work, which involves adding a Wix Get Subscribers form.

Next, you’ll want to determine which list all new customers/subscribers/contact go to.
